The Kronos had to set new standards in terms of performance, reliability, wear, comfort, ergonomics and looks. We are indeed very happy with the results as our new gun has become the perfect synthesis of balance, excellent mechanical features and flawless performance. The Kronos comes with an action made from a solid piece of forged steel, a detachable trigger group, a Boss-type locking system and complete stock interchangeability. The most prestigious British guns, particularly the “Boss”, were our source of inspiration when we designed our low profile action and trigger which is not only nice, but also extremely functional and ergonomic. Combined with the lines and dimensions of our stock, the line of the trigger make the Kronos a very comfortable gun to mount, shoot and control. But the real strength of our new competition gun lies in its barrels.
Thanks to over 50 years of experience building a component which we consider to be absolutely strategic to the performance of a gun, we have enough confidence to say that our barrels yield the best ballistic performances and comfort and generate the lowest possible recoil ever.
When building barrels in house, ZOLI only uses top quality materials and follows extremely precise production cycles under continuous skilled craftsmen’s supervision. Tolerances are very tight and there is no room for mistakes. The Kronos comes in Trap, Sporting, Skeet and Elise versions with either black or silver receiver. The Kronos comes with the best ZOLI barrels which enhance ammunition performance, generate perfect shot patterns and limit the recoil to the absolute minimum ever experienced in competition guns so far. As a result the gun is overall very stable but swift and a winner in competitions.
The Sporting and Skeet versions come with interchangeable choke tubes while the Olympic Trap and Universal Trap versions come with fixed chokes. The trigger group can be quickly removed from the solid action using a small wrench supplied with the gun. The trigger group is easy to replace and service when needed and the trigger pulls are easy to maintain. ZOLI shotguns come with either flush choke tubes called Flush-ZoliChokes, or extended choke tubes known as Extended-ZoliChokes. For available dimensions see table in the accessory section.
